What can I say, I've been very lucky to have found Tom! He has been the most amazing saxophone teacher, ready to teach from first principles (and help me unlearn old habits and mistakes) and I'm certain I'm in very good hands. The most interesting part about lessons with him is learning about musicality and jazz and music history in general, which I think is really important to become an all rounded saxophone player.

Apart from being incredibly knowledgeable about music generally and sax in particular, Tom is genuinely a very good teacher. I have benefitted a lot from his ability to break down complicated concepts into simple, basic component parts. He is also very perceptive to my needs — spotting things that I hadn't even realised!

I would absolutely recommend getting your saxophone lessons here. Tom is very experienced and has lots of expertise which has helped me massively.

Tom is an excellent saxophone teacher — very encouraging, patient, and adaptable. I truly believe he has the ability to adjust his teaching style based on each student's individual needs. As an adult learner, I really appreciate that he understands the different ways adults learn compared to children. After every class, I gain not only practical skills but also valuable insights into the mindset of being a confident performer. I highly recommend Tom to anyone who wants to begin their saxophone journey.

I've been having saxophone lessons with Tom for a few months now, having not played any musical instruments since I was at school. Tom is very knowledgeable and I've been able to pick things up again relatively easily with his guidance. He's also super friendly and makes the lessons enjoyable. I'm really happy with my progress so far and look forward to my lessons each time. Highly recommend!

Outstanding Saxophone Teacher – An amazing Experience. As a beginner to the saxophone, I was specifically looking for face-to-face lessons where I could get hands-on guidance and immediate feedback — and I couldn't have found a better teacher than Tom. Since the start Tom created a welcoming and encouraging environment. He was incredibly patient and knew exactly how to structure the sessions so I never felt overwhelmed. Every lesson felt thoughtfully tailored to my pace and learning style.

Tom is an excellent teacher and my daughter really enjoys her saxophone lessons with him. He is kind, friendly and patient but also very thorough. He encourages her to push herself that little bit further and as a result she's making really good progress.

Tom is a wonderful teacher: encouraging, knowledgeable, patient, and fun. I had a break of 8 years from playing tenor sax before I started lessons with Tom in late 2023. My progress under his guidance has been much quicker than at any other point in my playing.

With next to no previous musical experience, I recently reached out to Tom to attend weekly Saxophone lessons. He is an excellent teacher and has a great understanding of different people's personalities and learning styles, and adapts his teaching accordingly.

Tom has an excellent approach to teaching saxophone. He is very good at identifying the causes of errors and suggesting ways to improve. He is patient and gives plenty of encouragement, balancing this with maintaining a rigorous standard.

Tom teaches sax to my 13 year old, Sid. It's been seven months now. Not only does Sid think he's wonderful but he really is educating him so much. Tom makes learning a musical instrument fun and inspiring with his laid back cheerful manner and his top musical talent.

Our child started learning saxophone with Tom only a few months back but the progress she has made under his tutelage over that short time has been quite remarkable. As parents we were quite impressed by Tom's enthusiasm and passion for the instrument.

I've just had my first sax lesson with Tom after a year and half of trying to go it alone. Super friendly, Tom quickly understood where I'd arrived and was able to tweak my breathing, embouchure and posture in the first lesson — something I wouldn't have been able to do on my own.
