One of the most difficult things I remember about starting out learning to play jazz as a saxophone player was learning tunes. Before I knew how to learn music from recordings, I was always searching for a lead sheet in Eb for alto saxophone, or Bb for tenor saxophone. Often I couldn't find one and ended up learning the tune in the wrong key or in Concert pitch. Dealing with transposing is a minefield for the aspiring saxophonist, when you have nobody to guide you.

That's why I have started to compile this sheet music index of downloadable PDFS, completely for free. An online real book - For each jazz standard or tune, you will find a free download version of the sheet music in PDF format, for Concert Pitch, Eb for Alto Saxophone and Bb for Tenor Saxophone. You can even find multiple keys for selected tunes in this real book, including On Green Dolphin Street in the key of C and also in the key of Eb.
